Some ten(10) years ago a worship song that is still blessing the hearts of so many believers and non-believers in and out of Sierra Leone came into existence. This song has spread like wildfire in the harmattan till date; its values and impact remains unending. The question to how the song spread without been release as an album song or single since its inception became the topic of the day.
During those era of gospel music in Sierra Leone aside of the dynamics of the Agape Springs, Wesley Knight and God’s Seven (G7), Sierra Leone Gospel music was known for its contemporaries especially in Churches praise and worship session blend together with foreign gospel songs. The song ‘Ar Go Aes You Name’ was tagged or classified as a song done by an unknown Nigerian Gospel Musician not until the original writer and composer breaks the silence.
Osman Infa Tony Kallon who also goes by the stage name Min. Tee Kay reveal in an interview that he wrote the song in November 2009. The spread of the song he stated came as a result of the different invitations with his team (the End-Time Melody) to render song contributions he believe might have spread the song due to the song been used in these different Ministrations as their most played song.
He reiterated that it was first recorded with one of Sierra Leone’s Finest Music Producer Ibrahim Joshua Bangura also known as Jay Bangs in 2010 with lots of other songs as part of the list on their album songs which is yet to be released. Due to its impact on the blessing of lives; the reloaded version was recorded in 2019 and subsequently became the album title song of Tee Kay’s First Official Album. In the reloaded version, he featured other gospel musicians like Min. Arnold K. Fofanah, Min. Judah Zubairu, Min. Juliet Swaray and Min. Sia B. Conteh.
Min. Teekay is a multi-talented gospel musician with diverse gifts in Singing, writing of Songs, Playing of Musical Instruments (Keyboard, drums & Guitar), and also doubles as a vocal coach. He is legally and happily married and they are bless with a beautiful daughter.
Sierra Leone is blessed with so many potentials, gifted people and talented being; but these dreams can only be a reality if we can support their visions and pray also with them as they go through the journey. We are proud today to say the song ‘Ar Go Aes You Name’ is not written or composed by a foreigner but our own Sierra Leone brother, Friend, colleague, mentor and father Osman Infa Tony Kallon (Min. Tee Kay).
